Small Groups are way more than just Bible studies. They are also a time for building relationships and including others who may not know Christ, all while learning the Bible together in a loving, supportive community.
Most of our small groups follow along the sermon and Bible texts from the previous Sunday Service, with helpful discussion points and ideas for practical application. But some groups, during certain times of the year, have special themes.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
This is our most common small group. It meets throughout the year, mainly in the Fall and Spring. It follows a similar semester-based schedule as the University. Looking at the scriptures and text used in the sermon, everyone has a chance to read, interpret and find ways to apply this week's lesson to our daily lives. And we do it in community, to encourage one another.
Especially in the summer and winter, we may have groups for certain people, like a Men's group, Women's group, Students, Youth, Families and more.
Occasionally, we have small groups led by leaders in the church on topics like Victory over Sin, Missions and the Great Commission, Relationships and more. The Bible is always central to the group time, along with fellowship and sometimes eating together.
