Pastor Bret and Jorie were both won to Christ as seniors in college, Bret from a nominal Christian background, and Jorie from a Jewish family. They met through the same church and campus outreach that introduced them to Christ, and got married in 1992. Together they served in campus ministry for five years at the University of Southern California.
For the next twelve years, they helped develop an international, church-based campus ministry known as Every Nation Campus Ministries, ultimately serving as the International Director. They also helped develop a Ministry Partnership Development (MPD) program for Every Nation, training hundreds of campus and church-planting missionaries around the world how to raise their support.
On a personal note, they have four children, three girls and a boy. Bret has a Masters of Arts in Global Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary. Bret & Jorie finished a 2-year lay Bible school known as Every Nation Leadership Institute.
By 2006, Bret and Jorie began sensing that God was calling them to phase out of their corporate duties with the rapidly growing ministry and focus more on ministering directly to people through evangelism and discipleship as church planters.
In 2007, they moved to Las Vegas and began the exciting mission of planting All People Christian Church. After six years of planting and growing All People Christian Church, they merged with a nearby Assemblies of God church and together formed what is now called Life Christian Church. It was then they sensed God preparing them to move to Reno, Bret's hometown, and plant a new church as part of their spiritual family of origin, Every Nation Ministries.
After turning the Las Vegas church over to their co-pastors and rejoining Every Nation Ministries, they were sent out to Reno, NV, in 2015 to plant All People Christian Church - a missional church and campus outreach “OF All People, THROUGH All People, TO All People!”
